Common questions
How do I use ElderlAI?
Open the app and type or speak a message. You can ask anything, take a photo of a letter to have it read and explained, or ask for a reminder. Everything is large and simple, and there is no wrong way to talk to it.
Do I need an account?
No. ElderlAI works right away with no sign-up and no password. An optional backup using Sign in with Apple can save your companion if you switch phones.
How do I have answers read aloud?
Tap the Read aloud button under any answer, or turn on read-aloud from the top of the screen. You can choose a male or female voice in Settings.
How do I take a photo of a letter?
Tap Add a photo (or the “Explain this letter” card), then Take a Photo. Hold the paper flat so the words are clear, and tap the round button to take the picture. ElderlAI will read it and explain it in plain words.
What does it cost?
You get a few free chats every day, and questions about your safety are always free. For unlimited chatting you can subscribe to ElderlAI Monthly ($11.99/month) or ElderlAI Yearly ($114.99/year), each with a one-week free trial. Your free chats return the next day either way.
How do I cancel a subscription?
Subscriptions are handled by Apple. On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions, choose ElderlAI, and tap Cancel. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
How do I delete my information?
In ElderlAI, go to Settings and tap Delete everything. This permanently removes your profile, conversation memories, reminders, and saved messages, and resets the app. You can also email us to ask for deletion.
Is my information private?
Yes. We do not sell your data, show ads, or track you. To answer you, your words are processed by the AI providers Anthropic and ElevenLabs; your spoken voice is turned into text on your own phone and is never sent anywhere. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Can ElderlAI give medical advice?
No. ElderlAI is a friendly companion, not a doctor, and does not give medical advice. For anything about your health, please check with your doctor. If something is an emergency, call your local emergency number right away.
