What is ElderlAI?
ElderlAI is an iPhone app: a warm, large-text AI companion made for older adults. You can chat with it, take a photo of a letter or form to have it read aloud and explained in plain words, ask whether a message or call sounds like a scam, and set reminders.
Does it cost money?
ElderlAI is free for a few chats each day, and questions about your safety are always free with no limit. For unlimited chatting you can subscribe: ElderlAI Monthly is $11.99 per month and ElderlAI Yearly is $114.99 per year, each with a one-week free trial.
Do I need an account or password?
No. ElderlAI works right away with no sign-up and no password. An optional backup using Sign in with Apple can move your companion to a new phone.
Is my information private?
Yes. ElderlAI does not sell your data, show ads, or track you. To answer you, your words are processed by the AI providers Anthropic and ElevenLabs, which the app discloses before you send anything. If you speak, your voice is turned into text on your own phone and is never sent anywhere. You can delete everything at any time.
Can ElderlAI give medical advice?
No. ElderlAI is a friendly companion, not a doctor, and does not give medical advice. For anything about your health it encourages you to check with your doctor, and for emergencies it points you to call for help.
